Here comes the science, listen carefully ... or scroll on if you just want yarn!
Carbon is the 15th most abundant element in the Earth's crust, and the fourth most abundant element in the universe by mass after hydrogen, helium, and oxygen. It is the second most abundant element in the human body by mass (about 18.5%) after oxygen.
Carbon's abundance, its unique diversity of organic compounds, and its unusual ability to form polymers at the temperatures commonly encountered on Earth enables this element to serve as a common element of all known life.
Currently on Corriedale Sock 80/20 and 500g Guernsey 5ply 'Sport' hanks, this colourway is dyed in OOAK batches. No two batches will ever be exactly the same, but there will always be dark and moody grey and black tones, with hints of purple in the right light! Perfect 'sensible' counter balance colourway to complement a wilder choice; toes and heels anyone?
*Due to the techniques used in the dye process, colours will vary slightly throughout the hanks and between batches. Alternate hanks from different dye batches when working up larger projects.
